Supercritical CO₂ extraction is a modern processing technology increasingly used for high-value natural ingredients.

In this method, carbon dioxide is placed under controlled temperature and pressure until it reaches a “supercritical” state, where it behaves both like a gas and a liquid. In this form, CO₂ can gently separate oils from raw materials without the need for high heat or chemical solvents.

Once the extraction is complete, the pressure is released and the CO₂ simply evaporates, leaving behind the extracted oil.
